Larry Wayne Kovac

On Thursday, June 6, 2024, Larry W Kovac, age 73, of Austintown OH, passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, after a fall at his residence. He was born April 19, 1951, in Youngstown, OH, the son of Andrew (Herk) and Suzanne (Pajer) Kovac. Larry resided in the Youngstown area as well as Mesa, AZ.

Larry was a 1969 graduate of Wilson High School and was of Lutheran faith. He followed his father’s footsteps and was a Police Officer with the Youngstown Police Department. During his time in Mesa, AZ, he was an insurance investigator. Once he returned to the Mahoning Valley, he was employed as a Security Officer at Omni Manor. Larry loved the Cleveland Browns.

Larry is survived by his cousins, Beverly Baker, Amanda (Damian) Rudnytsky, and Holly Baker; three great-cousins, Nico Rudnytsky, Trenton Geho, and Derek Sweat; friends, Jack Tomaino and Rodney and Mary Beth Bowyer.

At Larry’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
