Unexpectedly, on Sunday, May 19, 2024, Leo Roosevelt "Poochie" Williamson, age 71, of warren, OH passed away in Trumbull County Regional Hospital ER. He was born on March 31, 1953, in Warren to Leo Goin and Mae Grace Williamson Hemmingway.
Leo is survived by his children, Minda Williamson, Leo R. (Gina) Williamson Jr. of all of Joliet, IL, Stephanie Masters and Vincent Evans of TX, Dorian (Tenesha McNeal) Williamson, Leon R. Williamson, Rosaleah Williamson, Brian Williamson, Shyann Williamson, and Brandy all of Warren, OH; siblings, Nadine Bender, Darlene Hemmingway, Sandra (Mike) Pearson all of Warren, Archie Hemmingway Jr, Anthony (Betty) Hemmingway of FL, Theresa Witherspoon of Atlanta, GA, Ruthie M. Walker of Warren; aunt, Ruthie Powell; former spouse, Denise Williamson; fourteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his mother, Mae Grace and father, Leo, Leo was also preceded in death by his children, January Williamson, John Thomas Williamson; granddaughter, Jourdyn Williamson, grandparents, Thomas "Pop" and Ocelee "Nee Nee" Williamson and brother, Thomas E. Hemmingway.
Leo served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He enjoyed fishing and camping and loved playing jokes on everyone around. He was also known as a jack of all trades.
Viewing and family to receive friends on from 11:00 am until the time of his Funeral Service at Noon on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Eastside Church of Christ, 1750 Niles Rd SE, Warren, OH 44484. Family to again receive friends after the service at 2758 Beal St, Warren, OH 44485.
