On Sunday, May 19, 2024, Lillian E Galbraith, age 73, of Canfield OH, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Hospice of the Valley. She was born December 14, 1950, in Youngstown OH to Herbert Flores and Rose (Candia) Flores.
She was a 1968 graduate of South High School. She spent most of her early career working in retail and several years as a baker, later retiring from Cardinal Mooney High School where she shared her culinary skills in the cafeteria. One of Lillian's significant accomplishments was when she was hired as the first female “milk truck” delivery driver in Youngstown. She supported her sons and never missed a sporting event and was always there ringing her bell. This included actively participating with the Fighting Little Redmen Youth Football Association for over 20 years
Lillian was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She leaves behind two sons, Greg (Kimberly) Morton and John (Natasha) Galbraith; two special and loved granddaughters, Ava and Emma Galbraith, whom she adored; three brothers, Thomas (Kim) Morton, Robert (Anna) Flores, Herbert “Junior” (Maria) Flores; sister Dorothy Morton; brother-in-law, Girard (June) Galbraith; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Besides her parents and sister, Betty Ortiz, Lillian was preceded in death by her husband of forty-one years, John R. Galbraith who passed away in 2022
Lillian was also a Member of Christ Community Church
There will be a private service for immediate family in the future.
