Mr. Lionel Bruce Lockhart a.k.a. Mr. Lynell Bruce Lockhart Sr., was born on January 12th, 1965 in Youngstown, OH to Pearl Mae Lockhart Floyd and Leonard Barnett Lockhart. Mr. Lockhart departed on May 29, 2024, into eternal peace surrounded by family and friends.
Mr. Lockhart was a 1983 graduate of South High School and shortly after graduating, he went on to join the United States Army. During his time in the Army, he was decorated with numerous ribbons of honor, Army Superior Unit Award, Marksmanship, Sharpshooter, Army Achievement medals, and many more honors.
Mr. Lockhart was employed by Boardman Molded Products, also previously employed by Spectrum Metal Finishings, in addition to 10-plus years of employment with The Vindicator. He was a dedicated fan of the Minnesota Vikings and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Mr. Lockhart leaves to cherish his memories, a son, Lynell Lockhart Jr. of Youngstown; daughter, JoVonna (Stephanie) Solomon of Youngstown; Joseph Solomon of Youngstown, Jovan Alexander of New Castle. He also leaves to cherish and to carry on memories, two granddaughters, Darling Lockhart and Jaliyah Solomon; three grandsons, Jai'Vion Solomon, Josiah Solomon and Joseph Solomon Jr, all of Youngstown, four sisters, Lenora Lockhart of Champagne IL, Annette Teemer, Eva Floyd, Michele Brooks, two brothers Keith Floyd, Clifton Floyd, all of Youngstown, along with a host of family, friends, and loved ones.
Mr. Lockhart was preceded in death by his son Landon Bryce Lockhart, both of his parents and step-father, John Floyd, and two brothers, Lester Lockhart and Johnnie Floyd.
