Lisa Yvette (Board) Plants, born March 28, 1965, however it would be in your best interest to celebrate the entire month of March as her “birthday month”. Trust me, there were threats of haunting those that do not!
Lisa was unapologetically unique, her love of Halloween, all things shiny, beach treasure was always priority number one while by the water. She had more drive than she knew what to do with. Whether its quilting, sewing, making the most fabulous Halloween costumes, diamond painting, junk journaling, and the books… dear lord so many books! Her talent and creativity can be seen, throughout her entire life.
A newlywed, Lisa, had her dream wedding to her true love, Ken Plants. Though their time was cut too short, the amount of love and smiles will forever mark this time as one of her happiest.
She also leaves behind her two children, Adam, and Holly Bonner. She shaped her kids to be the wonderful albeit sarcastic adults they are today, memories of the classic “I’ll give you a quarter if you can tell me who sings this song,” threats of a drive by “slushy” ing and the many adventures and inside jokes. Of course we cannot forget about her perhaps favorite kid, her precious baby, Gracie. We promise to try and keep her as spoiled as you always did. She also leaves Tarot, Rune, and Raven, her three cat babies, who are genuinely concerned their feeding schedule may get thrown off.
Lisa had so many loved ones who will miss her terribly, two sisters, Linda Porter, and LaWanna Board; niece, Shanna Porter; bonus kids, Chris & Lacey Giansante, Crystal Helmick, Jay & Annete Vaugh Henrichs, and John and Jen Barber. She was so proud of her grandkids and loved them to pieces.
Lisa touched so many people, friends or whether it be by being creative and fun with the girls on craft night, catching up with lifelong friends, or adopting another stray kid for her to help guide through life’s scary times and painful struggles.
While we mourn the loss of a wife, Momma, sister, and friend, let us find comfort in knowing she chose to give the ultimate gift and may very well save lives with her organ donation. So, as we find our way in a world without her it is my turn to say be careful going home Momma… let me know that you got there safe, and of course I love you, a bushel, and a peck, and a hug around your neck!
A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the American Legion 3652 Oakwood Ave, Austintown, OH 44515. In lieu of flowers a donation to the family can be made at @ https://cash.app/$hLavonneB245.
