On Monday, July 1, 2024, Lois Jean "Carrol" Fleps, age 79, of Youngstown, OH passed away at St Elizabeth Hospital – Boardman. She was born in Maryland on December 13, 1944, to Harold Robinette and Jean (Ranels) Carroll , and raised by her mother and step-father Pete "Truman" Carrol. She then moved to Youngstown.
Lois was a 1964 graduate of Fitch High School. During her lifetime she worked at Hills Department Store in Liberty Twp where she met Bob and later worked with her husband at their business in Austintown called Bob’s Lock and Key, located on Mahoning Avenue. They worked together for over 40 years until she retired.
Lois is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert "Bob" Fleps, Sr.; son, Robbie Fleps of Las Vegas, NV; son-in-law, Teddy Phillips of North Jackson, OH; grandchildren, Noell and Tyler Phillips of North Jackson, OH; siblings, Harold Carroll of Austintown, OH, Donna Fuller of Canton, OH; sister-in-law, Karen Carroll of Austintown, OH; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, Jean was also preceded in death by her daughter, Nicole Phillips; brother, Glen Carroll; mother and father-in-law, Karl and Dorothy Fleps; brother-in-law, Ray Fuller, and sister-in-law, Karen Fleps.
Viewing and Family to receive friends 5:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Cremation & Funeral Service by Gary S Silvat, Inc., 3896 Oakwood Ave, Austintown, OH 44515.
