Lydia Carol Peck, age 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 26th. Born on May 9, 1944, she was the beloved daughter of the late John Peck and Mary Elizabeth Huff.
Lydia dedicated much of her life to serving others, working as a correctional officer at the Ohio State Penitentiary before retiring. She was known for her strength, resilience, and unwavering commitment to her work.
A creative soul, Lydia found joy in crafting and ceramics, often making thoughtful and beautiful pieces for her family. She had a deep love for gardening and spending time outdoors, where she felt most connected to nature. Her love for cats was well-known, and she cherished the companionship they provided.
Lydia was generous and kind, a beloved aunt who deeply valued her many nieces and nephews, who in turn held a special place in her heart. Her warmth, generosity, and caring nature will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
In keeping with Lydia’s wishes, no formal funeral services will be held. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
