Marcia Ann (Zimmerman) Schmidt

On Tuesday, October 21, 2024, Marcia Ann Schmidt, age 81 of North Jackson, passed away at Hospice House in Poland, OH. She was born on August 30, 1943, to Walter and Betty Lous (Harris) Zimmerman.

Marcia is survived by her beloved husband, Roger Schmidt of North Jackson, children, Jon (Dina Zidian) Schmidt of North Jackson, Amy (Eddie) Yates of NC; grandchildren, Nikko (Shiree) Schmidt of FL, Brandon (Kaley) Yates, Jared Yates of NC; great-granddaughter, Lucy Mae Yates all of NC; brother, David (Marian) Zimmerman of CO, brother-in-law, Mike Adams; in-laws from Roger’s family, Daniel (Phyllis) Schmidt, Barb Blick, both of Austintown, Judy Proverbs of Greenford, nephews, Max Griffin and Ian (Christina) Griffin all both of Washington.

Besides her parents, Marcia was also preceded in death by her sister, Jane Griffin; brothers-in-law, Ron Blick, Jack Proverbs, Charlie Ellis and sister-in-law, Dorothy Ellis.

Marcia was well known because of her work at her family’s now closed Zimmerman Pharmacy which was located on the corner of Mahoning Avenue and Route 46. She enjoyed her arts and crafts, antiques and cooking and loved horseback riding, playing games like Mahjong and others with her game club. Most of all, Marcia loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

No public services will be observed.
