Margaret Mary Frost

On Sunday, February 2, 2020, Margaret Mary Frost, age 86, of Salem, OH, passed away in Salem Regional Hospital.  She was born in Hanoverton on December 16, 1933 to Donald Orris Frost and Grace Lucinda Zimmerman.

Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She owned and operated The Gown Boutique in Seven Hills, Ohio from 1977-1987. Margaret worked at Art's Jewelers in Salem, Ohio. She learned to make beaded and wire-wrapped jewelry, especially known for making unique ears cuffs. From there Margaret went on to open The Village Showcase in Hanoverton, OH. She became a member of Gemological Societies and loved attending gem and bead shows. Margaret was also a member of The Salem Hunting Club Ladies 22 Rifle League and won awards for her skill at shooting. She also helped at their benefits. Margaret was a member of Hanover Historical Society and enjoyed participating in the Peddler Days Festival. She was also a member of Hanoverton Christian Church.

One of the highlights of Margaret's life was a vacation to Hawaii with husband Bob, her sister Ann, and brother-in-law Al. She often spoke fondly of this trip.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Laura Brooks (James Jr) Francek, Daniel O Brooks; stepsons, Rod Iden, Robert Iden; grandchildren, Brian, Jennifer (Mike), Jessica (Chris), Sarah (Derrick), Christian, Jared; five step-granddaughters; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Anna Burtner, Janet Green, Geri Peterson; son-in-law, Mark Miciak; sisters-in-law, Janet Iden, Gayle Iden Norten.

Besides her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Iden; ex-husband, Lamar E Brooks; daughter, Lucinda A Miciak; grandson, Tanner; sister, Judi Crossland; brothers-in-law, Veryl, Lowell, Howard, Bill Iden.
