Maria Concepcion Colon Aldaladejo

Maria Colón Albaladejo, age 83, passed away peacefully on, Saturday, August 10, 2024. She was born May 22, 1941, in Corozal, Puerto Rico, to Lolin Colon and Reda Albaladejo.

Maria was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was filled with love. She was a woman of deep faith who loved God with all her heart and found joy in singing old hymns and attending church services, a reflection of her spiritual devotion.

Maria had a special love for animals, especially her beloved dog, Tino. She also enjoyed growing and nurturing her plants. She was an amazing cook and was passionate about bringing people together to share an authentic Puerto Rican meal.

Maria’s love for her homeland, the island of Puerto Rico, was a central part of her. She carried the island’s spirit with her wherever she went, and it was a source of pride and comfort throughout her life.

Maria is survived by her six children: Myrna (Ben) Molina, Luis Serra, Roberto (JoAnne) Serra, Jr., Leiza (Andy) Roman, Carmen “Alery” Serra, and Carlos (Priscilla) Serra. She leaves behind 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, who will all carry her memory in their hearts.

Maria’s legacy of love, and faith, will continue to live on in the lives of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed!
