Mary “Fran” Urbach Parry passed away peacefully at her home on December 11, 2025. Born in Harrisville, PA, to Kathleen Hogue and William Speer, Fran devoted her life to her family and her faith.
A gifted homemaker with a generous spirit, Fran enriched her community through service. She volunteered as Activities Director at the Mahoning County Nursing Home and shared her love of music as Choir Director at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Her voice graced many weddings, and she found joy singing with the Sweet Adelines. Beyond music, Fran delighted in crocheting, sewing, and baking – always creating warmth and beauty for those around her. Her greatest joy was watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow.
Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Ralph (Phyllis) Urbach, Jr., Ted (Frances) Urbach, David (Cynthia) Urbach, and Tracy (David) Schott; grandchildren, Ralph (Angela) Urbach, Matthew Urbach, Allison (Paul) Federwitz, Collin and Nathan Schott; and great-grandchildren Reese and Rowan Urbach, and Hannah, Levi, and Eden Federwitz; along with countless nieces, nephews and friends for whom she cared deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husbands, Ralph Urbach Sr. (whom she married in 1948), and Jack Parry (whom she married in 1992), and siblings Ruth Ella Jaskol, Janet Barnes, Bill Speer, David Speer, and John Speer.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Fran’s life on December 30, 2025, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2305 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, OH. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 am
Her legacy of love, faith, and music will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
