Mary Lucia “Mary Lou” (Pilolli) Hendrick, age 79, passed away peacefully with her beloved husband by her side on Sunday, June 7, 2026. She was born on May 26, 1947, to Carmella and Michael Pilolli Sr.
Mary Lou graduated from Liberty High School in 1965 and dedicated more than forty years of her life to the nursing profession. Throughout her distinguished career, she served patients at Northside Hospital and Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She concluded her career as a nurse at General Motors Lordstown, where she worked for eighteen years before retiring in 2012.
On August 17, 1985, Mary Lou married the love of her life, James “Jim” Hendrick. Together they shared many happy years filled with adventure, laughter, and companionship. Mary Lou enjoyed fitness walking, bike riding, dancing, and spending winters in Florida with Jim. Their love and devotion to one another remained steadfast throughout their marriage. Jim’s unwavering care and presence provided her with comfort, dignity, and love until the very end.
In addition to her husband, Jim, Mary Lou is survived by her children, Tracie, Craig (Cesar), and Paul Milliman; her stepchildren, Darin and Dayna Jones; her grandchildren, Matthew (Aleesha) Milliman and Joseph Jones; her great-grandchildren, Rune Victoria and Cale Milliman; her siblings, Patricia (Henry) Pisciuneri and Michael Pilolli Jr.; and her honorary sister, Marsha Ray.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carmella, and Michael Pilolli Sr.; her siblings, Anthony Pilolli and Elena Ferradino; and her beloved fur-baby, Murphy, who brought her countless hours of companionship and joy.
Mary Lou will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, quick wit, natural charm, and the joy she brought to those around her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
To honor her memory, do something spontaneous today: visit a friend, go dancing, take a day trip, or simply find a reason to laugh.
In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Patriot Hospice, especially Mike, Gina, and Liz, for the compassionate care and support they provided.
