Michael E. Collier, 71, of Youngstown, Ohio, peacefully passed away, surrounded by family and loved ones, on July 21, 2025.
Michael was born to Robert and Bertha Lee Collier on November 28, 1953, at Northside Hospital. Michael was raised in Hubbard, Ohio, where he attended school through high school graduation, before moving to Youngstown, Ohio.
Michael was a loving husband, devoted father & grandfather, devout Jehovah's Witness, and dedicated friend. Michael was also a hardworking man, starting off his journey in the workforce at Commercial Sharon, where he worked his way up to holding positions as an NA Sales Manager for over 40 years at Con-Tech Lighting, Nora Lighting, and H&H Lighting. He was a natural salesman and loved helping people, which was evident in the many accolades he received throughout his career.
Michael's hobbies included traveling, cooking, birdwatching, capturing photography in nature, and last but certainly not least, he enjoyed throwing a line in the water to go fishing.
Not only was Michael a fisherman, but he was a fisher of men, as many of you know, he was a devoted Jehovah's Witness, held a position as elder in numerous congregations; from his childhood until his last breath, devoting his life to service and the betterment of people around him through the ministry and also through the building of congregations and Kingdom Halls. We know his love for the ministry and people was always genuine, and we cannot wait to see him in the new system where we can all experience everlasting life.
Even though Michael is gone, he still leaves pieces of his heart behind in his children, Brandon Michael Collier, Jocelyn Collier, and Wesley Allen Collier, grandchildren Jayden, Mykel, and Matthias, siblings, Robert Lee (Jacqueline) Collier Jr., Brenda Collier, Debra McCarley, a niece, Monica, and great nephews. As well as a host of cousins and very close friends, whom he considered family.
Michael was preceded in death by both his parents, sister Faye Collier, 1st and 2nd wives, respectively, Anita Collier and Valerie Collier.
