Michael William Miles

On Sunday, November 23, 2025, Michael William Miles, age 73, of Struthers, OH passed away at his residence. He was born August 16, 1952, in Youngstown, OH, to Michael and Lillian (Aepelli) Miles.

Michael was a dedicated floor and tile installer for over two decades, working with Home Carpet of Boardman as well as independently. His craftsmanship and work ethic left a lasting impression on those he served throughout his career.

He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—playing the lottery and scratch-offs, enjoying a cold beer at home or at one of his favorite local bars, and striking up conversations with anyone willing to listen. Known for his humor and love of storytelling, he brought laughter wherever he went.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Stacey (Tyrone Crum) Miles of Youngstown; his son, Michael Miles of North Palm Beach, FL; his beloved granddaughter, Cierra Jackson of Youngstown; and many nieces and nephews.

The loss of his wife Carol, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage, deeply affected him. Her absence was profoundly felt in the later years of his life.

Michael was one of six siblings: Butch (Deb) Miles, Dennis Miles, Robert Miles, Yvonne "Chic"  (Adrian Thompson) Silbaugh, and Jacqueline "Jackie" (Ed) Flavell, all of whom preceded him in death.

He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
