Michael James Pesano Sr., of Orangeville, Ohio, passed away on February 28, 2025, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio, at the age of 63. Born to James Michael Pesano and Jane Theresa DeLuca Pesano on January 27, 1962, in Youngstown. He spent his life deeply connected to his family and community.
Mike was a proud Campbell Memorial High School graduate and continued his education at Youngstown State University, studying Architecture and Engineering. His early years were filled with adventure and camaraderie as a Boy Scout, and he remained active in various outdoor and sporting pursuits throughout his life. He was a member of the golf club and chess team during his school years, fostering skills that would bring him joy for decades.
For over 33 years, Mike built a successful career as one of the top-selling windows, siding, and doors salesmen in the Tri-State area. His dedication to his work earned him respect among colleagues and customers alike.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mike had a rich array of hobbies that reflected his passion for life. An avid golfer, chess player, and darts league player, he found joy in friendly competition. He was also a former member of the Lowellville Rod & Gun Club and loved fishing and boating whenever he had the chance. Mike loved to play Texas Hold Em & won several big tournaments. A lifelong sci-fi and fantasy enthusiast, he immersed himself in imaginative worlds through cinema, re-enactments, models, and games—most notably as a dedicated Dungeons & Dragons adventurer. His creativity extended to model railroads and vehicle architecture, where he meticulously crafted intricate designs that showcased his attention to detail.
Mike was a member of the Sacred Heart church.
Those who knew him remember him as generous, funny, compassionate, strong, and deeply committed to his family.
Mike is survived by his wife Roberta "Bobbi" Herold Pesano; sons James Roy Pesano and Michael James Charles Pesano Jr.; stepchild Mattie Layton, grandson James Roy Pesano Jr.; sister Cynthia (Daniel) Carder George; niece Nicole Carder; great-niece Alexis Fotou; and great-great-nephew Kingston.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Michael Pesano, his mother, Jane Theresa DeLuca Pesano, and his sister, Karen Ann Theresa Pesano.
A Celebration of Life Memorial gathering will be held Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Gabba Camp 4730 McCartney Rd, Lowellville, OH 44436.
