Michele Marie (Dimun) Welsh

On Monday,  May 4, 2026, Michele Marie Welsh, age 78, of New Middletown, OH, passed away at Aventura at Assumption Village, North Lima, OH. She was born November 26, 1947, in Butler, PA, to Michael and Bulah (Brown) Dimun.  

Michele dedicated her life to the service of others through her remarkable career in nursing. She began as an ER nurse at Jameson Hospital, where she served for 18 years, providing compassionate care to those in need. Later, she brought her expertise to the State Correctional Institution at Mercer, continuing her nursing practice while advancing her education to become a Healthcare Administrator.  

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Michele was the heart of her family. She shared 54 wonderful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Robert P. Welsh. Michele was a loving mother to her son, Adam (Christina Durham) Welsh of Pulaski, PA, and daughter Jennifer Panella of Hillsville, PA. She was also a proud grandmother to Dylan Welsh of Florida, MyKalyn (Tom) Wilkins of Hillsville, PA, Marty (Jen) Panella of New Castle, PA, and Devon Welsh of Boardman, OH; and a cherished great-grandmother to Gia, Genevieve, Bryson, and Cayson.  

In her leisure time, Michele enjoyed the camaraderie of her card club, the excitement of traveling, and the simple pleasure of shopping. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and loved ones.  

Michele’s legacy of care and dedication will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and peace to those she leaves behind.
