Patricia Caroline (Charles) Kennedy

Patricia Caroline (Charles) Kennedy passed away February 18, 2025 at home with her family by her side. Pat was born in Youngstown, Ohio to Francis and Mary (Simpson) Charles and raised in Girard with her three brothers and three sisters.

She graduated from Girard High School in 1952 and then worked at The Ohio Bell Telephone Company as an operator supervisor. After raising her family she went back to work and retired from The Ohio Utilities Protection Service as a customer service representative.

On November 17, 1956 she married William A. Kennedy. They spent 52 years together until Bill passed away in 2008.

Pat leaves behind her four daughters; Mary Beth Ramsey of Salem, Cathy (Rick) McCracken of Girard,  Karen (Cornel) Bogdan of Hubbard, Patty (Jay) Kurtz of Naples, Florida. Also, eight grandchildren; Dr. Kyle (Min) McCracken, Keenan (Samantha) McCracken, Quinn (Nicole) McCracken, Maggie (Andrew) Cameron, Sally Bogdan, Dan (Tina) Ramsey, Jack Ramsey, Lily Kurtz; nine great-grandchildren; Reed, Piper, Bubba, Sloane, Owen, Jack, Poppy, Kennedy and Gavin.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Bill, and brothers Bob and John Charles. Surviving siblings are Bill (Jane) Charles, Mae Douglas, Betty Kravec, Carolyn (Don) Kelly and sister-in-law Mary Charles. Also many nieces and nephews from the Kennedy and Charles families.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Howie Slemons for his many years of wonderful care. Also to Jason, Maureen, and Brenda from Patriot Hospice for their special care these past few weeks.

A private family service will be held.
