Paul Balciar

On February 23, 2026, Paul Balciar, age 91, of Youngstown, OH, passed away at Briarfield Manor in Austintown. He was born in Youngstown on May 9, 1934, to Paul and Mary (Hnat) Balciar.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Lori (David W. Smith) Balciar of Austintown, grandsons, Matthew S. Balciar of Struthers, Kyle W. Smith of Austintown; stepchildren, Sharon (Fred) Bryant and their children of MI, Pete (Vickie) Moore and their children of TN; sister, Martha Balciar of Girard as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, Paul was also preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Melitta, his sister, Mary (the late John) Wilcox, and stepson, Robert Moore.

Paul honorably served his country in the United States Army and retired from General Motors Lordstown.
