Richard Lee Powell II

On Saturday, June 14, 2025, Richard Lee Powell II, age 59, of Struthers, OH passed away at home surrounded by family.  He was born in Youngstown, OH on October 10, 1965 to Richard Lee and Mary Kathleen (Posterli) Powell.

Rich is survived by six children, including Richard L. (Jessica) Powell III, Ross Powell, with whom he lived, Sandra "Sonny" (Jamie) Hall all of Struthers; fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; fiancee, Shawna Jessen of Las Vegas; siblings, James (Elena) Powell of Lowellville, Amy (Dave) Stroyne of Pittsburgh, Mary Alice Sinkovich of Boardman; and last but not least his cats, who he lived for, Lewis, Butters, Grace, Emma, Lucy and Twiggy.

Besides his parents, Rich was also preceded in death by his wife, Sandra (Patterson) Powell.

Rich was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and Papa. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and in recent years, he enjoyed singing. He also enjoyed spending time at casinos—a pastime that combined his love for excitement with his spirited personality.

Viewing and family to receive friends from 4:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Cremation & Funeral Service by Gary S Silvat Inc, 3896 Oakwood Ave, Austintown, OH 44515. Private entombment will take place at Green Haven Memorial Park.
