Robert Cisko Obituary

Robert Matthew Cisko, born on September 27, 1963, in Miami, Florida, to Frederick and Judy (Batista) Cisko, passed away on May 12, 2025, in Youngstown, OH. His journey through life was marked by a deep connection to nature, culture, and healing.

Robert’s early years in Florida laid the foundation for a lifelong appreciation of the natural world. They held a special reverence for the Everglades, often finding peace and inspiration in its vast beauty. This love of nature extended into his exploration of natural medicine and healing practices, which became a meaningful part of his life’s path.

A passionate student of martial arts, Robert practiced Tae Kwon Do with dedication. His pursuit of physical discipline was matched by a spiritual curiosity that led him to immerse himself in Native American culture. Robert spent time with the Billy family of the Miccosukee tribe in Naples, FL, and participated in numerous powwows and sweat lodges across the United States. These experiences reflected his respect for indigenous traditions and the desire to live in harmony with the earth and its teachings.

Music from the 1970s and 1980s provided a joyful soundtrack to Robert’s life. Whether listening alone or sharing favorite songs with others, he found comfort and expression through melody and rhythm.

Robert shared many years of companionship with his former spouse and friend, Concetta “Connie” Precurato, with whom he resided at the time of his passing.

He is survived by his daughter Phoenix (Joe) Breau, and grandsons, Dawsyn and Chandlyr of Baker, LA. Robert is also remembered by his sister Tamie (Donald) Pridemore of FL; brothers Nikos (Lissette) Cisko of FL, George (Kelli) Cisko of SC, and Nikolaj (Caecilie) Cisko of Denmark; as well as many nieces and nephews who will carry forward cherished memories.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Debbie Cisko and Tony Cisko.

His life was one of exploration—of spirit, culture, healing, and connection. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
