Robert Judy Obituary

On Saturday, January 7, 2023, Robert Earl “Bob” Judy, age 73, of Austintown passed away after a brief illness in the Cleveland Clinic. He was born In Ravenna, OH on June 10, 1949, to Sidney W. and Virginia B. (Byers) Judy.

Bob graduated from Austintown Fitch High School and honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corp, Airborne Division, as Corporal E4 from 1970 to 1972. He lived life to its fullest and ended each day with wine in a coffee mug. He loved woodworking and made furniture, tables, and other "Bob Judy" creations for family and friends. Bob enjoyed traveling by Amtrack for cross country trips across the country with his wife, brother, and sister-in-law. He loved family beach vacations and the yearly Myrtle Beach trip with his wife and their closest friends. Bob also enjoyed gardening and took considerable pride in his vegetable and flower gardens. He always had the best-looking lawn in the neighborhood. Bob was everyone's favorite neighbor who was always lending a hand with whatever needed done from cutting grass to moving TV's. He taught his sons-in-law how to do things around the house from remodeling to building a chicken coop. Anyone who knew him said "he was the best guy ever." Bob’s greatest love was his family, especially his three grandchildren who called him “Pop.” Pop was their biggest cheerleader who never missed any of their sporting events.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Jackelyn “Jackie” (Hatfield) Judy of Austintown; children, Robert  “Todd” (Beth) Judy of Columbiana, Melissa “Missy” (Jody) Myers of Austintown ; grandchildren, Ethan Kerr, Gabby Kerr both of North Jackson, Kalib “KB” Myers of Austintown; son-in-law, Greg Kerr of North Jackson; father-in-law, Kenny Hatfield of Austintown; siblings, Jim (Barbara) Judy of FL, Sam (MaryJo) Judy of Austintown; as well as nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Bob was also preceded in death by his dear daughter, Nikki Judy-Kerr.

Burial will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11:30am in the chapel of Green Haven Memorial Gardens, located at 3495 S. Canfield-Niles Rd, Canfield, OH 44406 with military honors.
