On June 24, 2025, Robert "Bob" Aggers Jones, age 84, of Austintown, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home. He was born in Youngstown, OH on December 30, 1940, to in Youngstown, Ohio, Robert G. and Marian (Aggers) Jones. Bob lived a life rooted in family, passion, and community.
Bob had a lifelong love for racing, a passion passed down from his father, who served as the flagman at Sharon Speedway for many years. That love only deepened over time, as Bob became the dedicated crew chief for his son, Robert "Scott" Jones, sharing countless memories at the track and building a legacy of teamwork, perseverance, and devotion.
Bob is survived by his granddaughter, Samantha "Sammi" Jones, and his daughter-in-law, Sharon Jones, both of whom he cherished deeply.
Besides his parents, Bob was also preceded in death by his son, Robert "Scott" Jones and brother, Tim Jones.
