Ronald E. VanPelt

On Wednesday March 13, 2024, Ronald Eugene VanPelt, age 80, of Boardman, OH passed away at Masternick Memorial Nursing Home – New Middletown, after a very brief battle with cancer. He was born August 25, 1943, in Salem OH, to the late Jacob VanPelt and Frances (Good) VanPelt.

Ronald was a 1961 graduate of Greenford High school. He married Kathy (Smith) VanPelt on May 21, 1981 and they spent 43 wonderful years together. They were blessed with four children, Bobby (Stacy) VanPelt, Lindsey VanPelt, Ethan VanPelt, and David VanPelt; eight grandchildren, Noah VanPelt, Destiny VanPelt, Vanessa VanPelt, Sadie (Shylor) Lawrence, Taylor Morgan, Ethan Bailey, Brandon Miranda, and David Miranda; three great grandchildren, Jackson, Greyson, and Rosalina. He was also blessed by his fur babies, Sparky and Rosie.

Ron was a General Motors retiree and an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be greatly missed by his hunting buddies of over 43 years.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
