Ronald Nevin Wall, 83, passed away peacefully after a short illness on March 19, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born in Wadsworth, OH on May 6, 1942, to Vivian Arlie Wall and Clara Luvenia Corbett.
During his twenty-year military career in US Air Force Security Services, Ronald proudly served and protected the United States during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Japan, Thailand, and Sicily. Afterward, he worked for the (NSA) National Security Agency at Fort Meade in Maryland, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant and earning a Joint Service Commendation Medal. Upon military retirement, Ronald spent the next twenty years as a computer programmer with IBM.
An aviation enthusiast, Ronald was highly skilled with flight simulators, collected model airplanes, attended airshows, and for several years volunteered with the Cincinnati Warbirds, EEA Squadron 18, helping to preserve historic military aircraft. He also loved horseback riding, painting, and fishing.
Ronald was an avid genealogist and talented writer of his family’s history. His research is cited in a 2026 biography of the legendary outlaw, Belle Starr.
Ronald is survived by his children, Bruce E. Wall, and Tonya M. Madia; his grandchildren, Daniel Wills, Michael Wall, Ashley Wall, Jessica Schmidt, Jeremy Madia, Dana Vinton, Nicole Wall, and Jolie Madia; and his great-grandchildren, Arya Nanhoo, Stone Wall, Joy Vinton; siblings, Arthur Arlie Wall and Loy Michael White.
Besides his parents, Ronald was also preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Sue (Whitsett) Wall, in 2018.
Ronald will be laid to rest with his wife at Ft. Smith National Cemetery in Ft. Smith, AR.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
