Rosa Telena (Cantwell) Sheets

On Saturday, July 11, 2026, Rosa (Cantwell) Sheets, age 66, of Austintown, OH, passed away peacefully at Mercy Health-Youngstown. She was born May 1, 1960, in West Virginia to Kenneth James and Nelsie Catherine (Kinder) Cantwell.

Rosa is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Terri L. Schneider of Austintown, OH, and Kayci (Joe Jr.) Korchnak of Struthers, OH. She was a proud grandmother to Kathryn Castle, Braiden Emery, Logan Schneider, and Joey Harkless of Austintown; Kara Boerio of Salem; and Kaylee Boyce, Elizabeth Korchnak, and Olivia Korchnak of Struthers; Joseph Korchnak III and Juvia Korchnak of Struthers. Her legacy also continues through her great-grandchild Josie Hicks of Salem.

She is also survived by her brother Kenneth Paul Cantwell of Austintown; nieces Leah Joy and Ella Cantwell of New Springfield; and her former spouse Nick Chance Jr. 

Rosa had a vibrant personality that shone through her many hobbies and passions. She found joy in crafting and was an active participant in the Flamingo Mafia and Relay for Life. She cherished time spent with friends at flea markets or simply enjoying their company during outings.

Rosa was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, James Joseph Duponty, James Sheets, and George Caskey; and her siblings, Kathy Cantwell, Thomas Cantwell, and Kenneth James Cantwell; and sister-in-law Tiffiny Cantwell.

Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her. May Rosa’s life serve as a source of inspiration and comfort to those she leaves behind.
