Roseanne "Rosie" Marie (Whippo) Hurt

On Monday, October 27, 2025, Roseanne "Rosie" Marie Hurt, age 68, of Wooster, OH,  passed away after a brief illness at Willow Woods, North Lima, OH. She was born June 3, 1957, in Youngstown, OH, to Merrill and Eleanor (Gardner) Whippo.

Roseanne graduated from Boardman High School in 1975 and attended Choffin Career Center, where she studied horticulture. She married Donald Robert Hurt on July 2, 1988. While she worked for J & S Aluminum for several years, she devoted most of her life to being a homemaker.

Roseanne found joy in simple pleasures and hobbies that reflected her vibrant spirit. She enjoyed shooting pool and fishing, and she cherished the companionship of her beloved parrot, Wilma. Her love for plants was evident in her home, where she nurtured a wide variety of houseplants and flowers—especially her cherished collection of Christmas cacti in nearly every color imaginable. Her faith was also an important part of her life.

She is survived by her sister Christine Mueller (Terry Hilbon), brother Francis Thomas(Pat), sister-in-law Donna Whippo, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Roseanne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 37 years, Donald R. Hurt;  sister Diane R. Bulatko; and brothers Merrill G. Whippo and Charles Whippo.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her. We will love you forever and always.
