Russell Keith Root

On Thursday, March 28, 2024, Russell Keith Root of Campbell, OH passes away at home after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born in Sharon, PA on January 25, 1959 to Donald C. and Elsie E. (Coxson) Root.

Russell was a welder many years at both, Monroe Industries and Warren Fab. He enjoyed four-wheel and motorcycle riding, hunting, swimming, watching wrestling, and was an avid gardener.

Russell is survived by his son, Russell Root Jr. of Marienville, PA; siblings, Irene DeStasio of Mercer, PA,  Renee (Dr. Sheldon Persky) Burrows Persky of Hubbard, Kenneth Root of West Middlesex, PA and a grandson.

Besides his parents, Russell was preceded in death his siblings, Joyce Bloss Walton, Donald, Ronald and David Root.

Russell was a member of Cornerhouse Christian Church in Hubbard, OH where a memorial service is planned for Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 3:00pm, officiated by Pastor David Coxson. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in New Bedford, PA.
