Scott Alan McCann

Scott Alan McCann, 58, of Warren, Ohio passed away on January 19, 2025, following complications from a fall. Scott was born In Garden City, Michigan to Lindley and Maxine (Mavin) McCann. The family then moved to Ohio where he graduated from Howland Christian in 1985.

Upon graduation, Scott joined the US Navy, becoming an electrical technician specializing in meteorological equipment maintenance. After his military service, Scott held numerous positions throughout his life using the skills he acquired in the US Navy. His current position as a Workforce Analyst at Elixir Solutions was one of his most innovative technical accomplishments.

Scott's first and foremost love was his family and spending time with his adorable grandchildren. Scott was also a diehard college football fan of the University of Michigan and in the NFL, the black and gold of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Scott is survived by his loving wife of more than thirty years Chris McCann of Warren, Ohio; daughter, Tara (Aaron) Hayes, Kirsten McCann, Brooklynn McCann;  grandchildren, John and Serenity Holbrook; numerous nieces and nephews; siblings, Sherrie (Bob) Maffitt, Roy (Lynn) McCann, Donna McCann and Lori (Joseph) Houck.

Scott was preceded in Death by his parents Lindley Lon McCann and Maxine Roberta McCann.

A celebration of Scott's life will be held at a later date.
