On Sunday, July 28, 2024, Selenia María Velazquez, age 80, of Youngstown, OH, passed into sleep, at the home she shared with her daughter, María. She was born in Peñuelas, Puerto Rico on September 30, 1943, to Carlos Velazquez and Monserrate Rodriguez.

Selenia is survived by her beloved children, María Selenia Rodriguez and Luis Antonio Rodriguez both of Youngstown, Robinson (Barbara) Rodriguez of Chicago, Ana Margarita (Luis Ramon) Perez and Rubén Rodriguez Jr. both of Puerto Rico, Concepción María (Ismael) Rodriguez of Youngstown; grandchildren, José Luis (Krystle) Badea Rodriguez, Carlos José Badea, Luis Alfredo Beltran, Heriberto (Jomarie) Moreno, Ismarie (Samuel Jr.) Morales Cruz, Zeneidy Rodriguez Rodriguez, Cely Enid Rodriguez Rodriguez, Jorge Rubén Rodriguez Rodriguez, Jedrianyz Sophia Rodriguez Rodriguez, Carianyz Miranda Rodriguez Rodriguez, Robinson Isahar Rodriguez, Angel Nomar Ortiz Perez, Luis Antonio Rodriguez Anglada, Luis Enrique Rodriguez Vargas, Celenia Nicole Rodriguez Vargas, Emmanuel Jamiel Rodriguez Vargas, Sasbel Liz Rodriguez Vargas; great-grandchildren, Crisstopher, Isabela, Adrian, Abigail, Avery, Martin, Glory, Axel, Lilah, Zane, Wilienyz, Ylec, Sebastian, Sergio, Samiriely, Eliemari, Heri Jomiel, Javier, Joel, Rosemarie, Jaylanie, Leilani and Gary.
