Sharon Ella (Wright) Whitfield

On Friday, February 20, 2026, Sharon Ella Whitfield, age 73,  passed away at her residence in Youngstown. She was born on September 20, 1952, in Sharon, PA, to George and Shirley (Thomas) Wright.

Sharon graduated from The Rayen School and soon after married Frank B. Whitfield Sr. Together, they had three children, Rosiland Wright, Frank B. Whitfield II, Danielle Whitfield, and Reginald Whitfield III.

A devoted member of the Hubbard Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Sharon found great joy in sharing her faith and beliefs in the Bible. Her unwavering hope in the promise of a resurrection and a better future under Jehovah’s kingdom brought her immense comfort and purpose. She treasured her time spent with friends in ministry and held steadfast to the words of John 11:25.

Sharon was blessed with many grandchildren who brought light to her life: Lachelle (Michael) Higgins, Dominique (LaShawna) Higgins, Alvinetta Showers, Albert (Tawny) Jenkins, Devonte Clark, and Regina (Ron) Gilmer. She will also be fondly remembered by her sister, Carol Williams, brothers, Douglas Wright and George Wright. She was deeply cherished by her extended family, including Cora Lee (Dwight) Brown, Donna (John) Smith, Craig (Kim) Whitfield, and Reginald Whitfield. Sharon also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Whitfield Sr.; siblings Cameron Wright, Raymond Wright, and Michelle Gilmore; and grandchildren, Reginald Smith and Richard Smith.

Sharon’s faith and love touched the lives of many. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.

Service to be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 7, 2026 in the Hubbard Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness', calling hours starting two hours prior at 11: am. Flowers can be sent to the Kingdom Hall located at 278 Jacobs Road, Hubbard, OH 44425.
