Stephen Andrew Hallis

On Sunday February 15, 2026, Stephen Andrew Hallis, age 82, of Girard, OH, passed away at Mercy Health - Youngstown. He was born August 23, 1943, in Youngstown, OH, to Stephen and Mary Lou (Peterson) Hallis.

 A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Stephen served his country with honor and dedication.

Stephen is survived by his daughter, Terri Hallis of Struthers, OH, and Shannon Romeo of Youngstown, OH, who was like a daughter to him. He leaves behind five grandchildren: Ashley (Nicholas) Shuluga of Poland Township, OH, Thomas Baron IV of Struthers, OH, Andrew “AJ” (Joelle) Hallis of Boardman, OH,  Brandon Hallis of IN, and Cassie Hallis McGrew of IN. He was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren. Additionally, he is survived by his sister Cathy (Robert) Cox of Canfield, OH.

Besides his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Andrew Hallis Jr., and his sister Mary Lou Sutak.

Interment will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.
