Steven Michael Heaton, born on August 10, 1959, passed away on February 26, 2025, at his home in New Middletown, Ohio, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved son of the late James Edward Heaton and the late Margaret Nadine Heaton (Cunningham).
On June 16, 1994, Steven married the love of his life, Gail Heaton (Furdich), and together they shared 30 wonderful years. He was a devoted father to Cheyenne Walters (Heaton) and her husband, Rian Walters. His greatest joy came from being a proud Papa to his grandson, Casey Walters.
Steven had a deep love for the outdoors and spent countless summer days fishing at Berlin Lake, camping, and enjoying cookouts with family and friends. A passionate sports fan, he never missed a game—especially when it came to cheering on the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Above all, Steven found immense happiness in spending time with his grandson Casey, whether watching a funny movie or playing catch.
He is survived by his siblings, Leslie Wilson and her children, Jacob and Maggie Wilson, as well as Jamie Heaton and his wife, Debbie Heaton. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffery Heaton.
Steven will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his loved ones and the sense of security he provided to those around him. His presence brought warmth and joy to many lives, and he will be forever cherished by those who knew him.
