On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, Susan Blair Kerr, age 57, of Warren, OH, passed away at home due to complications of dementia and pneumonia. She was born April 10, 1969, to Quentin and Cynthia (Blair) Kerr in Bremerhaven, Germany, where her father was stationed in the Navy.
Susan's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, laughter, and adventure. She was known for her infectious joy and her love for exploring the world. With much thanks to her parents, her travels with family, friends, and caregivers took her to stunning destinations such as Hawaii, Alaska, and Costa Rica, as well as on numerous cruises through the Eastern and Western Caribbean and the Panama Canal. Susan relished the opportunity to dine at the Captain's table, adding a touch of luxury to her adventures.
An avid sports enthusiast, Susan participated in bowling, swimming, softball, and cheerleading. Her artistic side was expressed through painting and ceramics, hobbies that brought joy not only to her but also to those around her. Susan’s independent spirit shone brightly as she lived on her own for nine years, cherishing her freedom and the ability to make her space truly her own. She was strong, funny, and beautiful, as was evidenced by the love shared by everyone she met.
She leaves behind her loving parents, Quentin and Cindy Kerr; her sister, Lesley Kerr; uncles Tod (Georgann) Blair, Bruce (Alicia) Blair, and Danny Kerr; cousins Rachael Blair, Keith (Heidi) Blair, Leaha (Spencer) Spratlin, and Danny Lee (Eugene Cubal) Kerr; as well as a close network of friends and caregivers that she considered family.
Susan was preceded in death by her grandparents, cousin Becky Kerr, and aunt Cokie Kerr.
Susan's legacy of warmth, laughter, and boundless curiosity will be cherished and remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her spirit, forever adventurous and joyous, will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
