Terry Lynn Shannon

On Monday, April 28, 2025, Terry Lynn Shannon, age 76, of Austintown, OH, passed away at Mercy Health Boardman Hospital. He was born on May 26, 1948, in West Virginia to Jack and Frances Shannon.

Terry is survived by his daughters, Amy (Troy) Shannon Atkins of Howland, Kelly Shannon of Youngstown; grandchildren, Angeliq Shannon of Youngstown, Nate Fountain of Howland, Danasha Ifft of Boardman, Corey Grove Jr, of Youngstown; great-grandchildren  Gabriella Brown, Dawalyn "Sonny" Brown Jr.; mother-in-law, Patricia Broderick; sister-in-law, Maureen (JT) Gorman; Mike Broderick; nieces, Alissa (Mark) Sahli, Carly Slattery, Tammy; nephews, Matthew Broderick, David (Courtney) Broderick, a great-nephew and several great-nieces; his very good friend and caretaker, and last but not least his faithful dog, Buster.

Besides his parents, Terry was also preceded in death by his wife, Eileen (Broderick) Shannon, and sister, Jeanine Shannon.

Terry was a long-time employee and retired from US Steel’s McDonald Plant. He was known for his sense of humor, basically he was a "funny" guy. He loved to play golf and loved the Browns and yes, we mean "A LOT."  Later in life he found joy and relaxation and loved the time he spent gardening with his caretaker and good friend.
