Vicki Lynn Popio

After suffering a medical emergency on May 4, 2025, Vicki Lynn Popio, age 57, passed away unexpectedly. She was born on April 23, 1968 to Anthony and Lana Popio.

Vicki is survived by her daughters, Brittany Loboy of New Middletown, Lindsey Loboy of New Castle, PA; siblings, Annette Martin of Youngstown, Marilou (John) Geletka of Canfield, Donna Wise of New Freeport, PA; brother-in-law, Jimmy Bonilla of Orlando, Florida; sister-in-law, Robin Popio of Petersburg; significant other, Patrick Underwood and his family of Struthers, and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Vicki was also preceded in death by her siblings, Anthony "Tony" Popio, Angela Wess; brothers-in-law, Clarence Martin and Tom Wise.

Vicki was a proud 1986 graduate of Youngstown's East High School and went on to live life as if she was invincible. Her love for The Grinch went well beyond the Christmas season. She enjoyed casinos, especially "Mountaineer" and thoroughly lived to play bingo. She would be met by many of her friends at any bingo hall visited. She also enjoyed participating in various other activities around Youngstown, like the Italian Festival and Canfield Fair. Vicki was a proud mother and loved that all of her daughters' friends would gather at their house. This was so she could "keep an eye on all of them" even though she was the biggest "trouble maker" at heart. The door was always open, as she viewed her daughter’s friends as her “adopted” children as well. Spending time with family was one thing she truly loved, as she enjoyed hosting many picnics and parties throughout her years.

Her daughters and family appreciate all of the love and support from their army of friends and family. 

Private services will be held at a later date.
